Our goal is to provide a friendly and fun gaming experience for all members interested in building and fostering a skilled and respected regiment. We strive for excellence in our actions and seek success by eliminating anything that may stand in our way. In times of chaos or great despair we will not succumb. Our destiny will be determined by our own actions and pure determination. The 9th Sword of the Dragon is based on Loyalty, Honor, Skill, and Trust. Our members are held together by a close bond, formed through friendship, mutual respect, and sharing a common set of goals and standards. These standards are as follows:
We strive for knowledge and work hard to develop our skills in order to use that knowledge.
We share that knowledge freely with our members and fellow Kuritans.
We do our best to use sound judgment in our behavior and decisions.
We are bold in our actions and freely accept the consequences.
We have the right to be proud and work to foster self-confidence.
We lead and follow with no need for rudeness or insolence.
We are fearless in battle and accept defeat with dignity and decorum.
We accept feedback and guidance when given with the intention of helping us to gain experience.
We actively defend and protect our members and Kuritan space.
We place the needs of others ahead of our own personal gain.
We are honest, generous, and fair in our dealings with others.
We are respectful and dependable, and make amends when necessary.
We see a task through to its completion.
We try and try again to meet our goals, and strive to keep challenging ourselves.
We seek help in order to accomplish tasks only after we have first attempted to do so on our own.
To help everyone in the regiment without demand of compensation.
We expect all our members to take responsibility for their actions and to actively participate in the development of themselves as well as the betterment of the regiment. Members should do their best to attend meetings, events, etc.
To uphold the utmost Honor, Integrity, Duty, and Tradition of 9th Sword of the Dragon. We will not lie and deceive each other. We will show a united front.
Do not publicly complain. We do not tolerate whiners.
All members have the right to an opinion, however 9th Sword of the Dragon does not condone to the deliberate slander, greifing or abuse, etc. of our members. This is a zero tolerance policy so that we can protect and maintain the integrity of our regiment.
Follow the Terms of Service set out by Piranha Games in game and on their respective forums.
Time Demands & Restraints:
We do not want you to treat the game like a job. However we do ask that you play actively and participate in events and groups as much as possible. We will most likely have a mix of casual players and more semi-hardcore type players, so either playing schedule will fit in. Your rank can be affected by the amount of time you put in.
We ask that if you know you will be gone an extended amount of time (1 week or over) you let an officer know.
You will not be rude to any member of 9th Sword of the Dragon or House Kurita, no matter how they treat you. If there is an issue, please consult an officer within your chain of command.
You will also show respect to our enemies, no matter how they treat you. Do not taunt or slander our opponents. We fight them on the battlefield, not with insults. Acting rudely or childish reflects poorly on you, and thus the regiment. You will not dishonor the regiment.
Follow your chain of command. If you have an issue, take it up with an officer.
On the battlefield, follow your Commander’s orders. This is a zero tolerance policy. If you disagree with an order, follow it and talk to him about it later, privately. Arguing during a battle with not be tolerated.
If a post of yours is found on the Recruitment forum of another regiment or group, you will automatically be removed. Our regiment is not a temporary holding regiment for others. If you do not want to be in this regiment, that is fine, but leave, do not waste our time. We do not want people in 9th Sword of the Dragon who simply could not get in the regiment that they really wanted to be in.
Your loyalties lie not only with 9th Sword of the Dragon, but also with House Kurita. You will not divulge information with the other factions that can hurt House Kurita or other regiments within House Kurita in any fashion.
If you have a problem with a 9th Sword member that cannot be solved between the two of you, it is imperative that you take it up with one of the officers. If your initial response is to leave the regiment first, and THEN try to talk to one of us, you will most likely be ignored. We have no patience for cry babies and drama queens. Stay in the regiment and try to correct the problem, not run away.
If you leave the regiment on your own accord, you will be allowed back in, unless the officers feel you left in bad taste. However with rank, you will start at the bottom again. If you leave a second time, you will not be allowed to return. Think on this before you decide to leave. We also ask that if you plan on leaving the regiment, you talk to an officer you feel comfortable with first. So many times, people leave for stupid reasons that can be worked out with a little bit of communication. We will not take the excuse "I didn't know” on this, or anything else stated in our rules and regulations.
